Abstract

Energy efficiency is a critical challenge in cloud computing due to the rapid growth of data centres and their high-power consumption. Dynamic cloud computing addresses this issue by adjusting computing resources in real time based on workload demands. Techniques such as dynamic resource allocation, virtual machine consolidation, auto-scaling, and energy-aware scheduling help minimize idle resources and reduce unnecessary energy usage. By efficiently utilizing hardware and enabling the shutdown or sleep of underutilized servers, dynamic cloud environments significantly lower energy consumption and operational costs. This approach not only improves system performance and scalability but also contributes to sustainable and green computing practices.
